About Oxjam and the Takeover 2012…
Oxjam is Oxfam’s month-long music festival during October, and Oxjam Takeovers are a big part of it. These multi-venue one-wristband-gives-access-to-all events (think Camden Crawl) have become the showcase of the year for local emerging talent all over the UK. After successful Takeovers in 2009 and 2010, Oxjam is back in Kilburn on Saturday 20th October 2012! Venues for the event are the North London Tavern, Power’s Bar and the Black Lion, all on Kilburn High Road.

Our mission is to raise funds for the vital work that Oxfam does nationally and internationally. We also want to highlight Kilburn and its thriving music scene, and add our Takeover to the mix as a fun and vibrant event. There are a number of bands local to Kilburn, and we want our Takeover to be a platform for them to reach new and existing audiences. All in all, we want to use local music to make a global impact.
